Game Overview

Lucky New Year by Pragmatic Play invites players to a festive, Asian-inspired world centred around good luck, fireworks, and celebration. Released in 2018, this 5-reel video slot stands out with its bright visuals and traditional icons like lanterns, firecrackers, and mythical animal symbols, creating an authentic atmosphere.

With bets starting from just 0.25 credits and going up to 125 credits per spin, Lucky New Year suits all types of players, whether you’re new to slots or more experienced. The game’s medium volatility and RTP of 96% offer a balanced experience, with a mix of smaller and potentially larger wins.

One of the highlights is the free spins round, which is triggered by landing the right symbols. During this feature, stacked symbols and extra opportunities make it easier to land bigger wins.

Another standout is the progressive jackpot, which can be triggered under certain conditions during normal play, adding some real excitement as the prize fund grows with every spin. While Lucky New Year doesn’t have a classic bonus game, it makes up for it with its unique jackpot and rewarding free spins features.

The layout is simple to use, letting players adjust their bet easily and view the paytable with no fuss. The soundtrack and animations draw inspiration from festive Chinese parties, making for a lively and immersive slot experience.

Players can often try out a demo version before wagering real money. Overall, Lucky New Year brings together a much-loved theme, engaging slot features, and dynamic play—making it a solid pick in Pragmatic Play’s lineup.
