Game Overview

Magic Journey from Pragmatic Play is an online slot that puts a new spin on classic slot gameplay. Released in 2020, this unique game draws inspiration from the legendary Chinese tale "Journey to the West", bringing players on an adventure with an Asian-inspired theme. Game Structure and Mechanics Going against the grain, Magic Journey features a single 1x5 reel beneath a 3x3 grid.

The goal is to spin the single-row reel and hope for character symbols that match those showing on the 3x3 grid. Any matched symbols light up their position on the grid.

Completing certain patterns over the eight paylines leads to payouts, providing a truly different and exciting way to play slots. Betting Range and Volatility You can place bets from as low as €0.01 all the way up to €100 per spin, making it suitable for everyone from casual players to those who like to bet big. The game’s medium-high volatility means wins aren’t as frequent but have the chance to be substantial.

With an RTP of 96.54%, Magic Journey sits comfortably within the standard for online slots. Special Features Magic Journey includes a re-spin feature to spice things up. Any time a re-spin symbol lands on the main reel, you’ll trigger a re-spin, giving you more chances to land matching symbols on the grid.

Re-spins continue as long as you keep hitting new matches during the feature. There are no classic wilds, scatters, free spins, or bonus rounds in this slot. Theme and Design The game is bursting with bright colours and stunning artwork reflecting its Asian theme.

The character and symbol designs are detailed, making for an eye-catching and immersive visual experience. Enhanced by an atmospheric soundtrack, the game’s overall presentation is top notch. Conclusion Magic Journey is a standout in the world of online slots thanks to its original reel setup and engaging gameplay.

The combination of medium-high volatility and the re-spin mechanic offers lively and entertaining play, especially for anyone after something genuinely different. The artistic design and Asian-inspired theme further add to its charm, making it a worthy addition to Pragmatic Play’s collection.
